Brilliant travel day pack for the photo-tourist,
I bought this pack to aid primarily when travelling. When I’m on vacation, I don’t want to be loaded with as a result much gear that I’m extra caught up in my equipment than my surroundings. But, I still want to be able to carry my Nikon D50; 18-70mm, 10-20mm, speedlight, 90mm macro, perhaps another lens or two, a travel tripod, a jacket, snacks, and still have room to cram in a couple of tiny souveniers. And while I typically leave the mainframe back at the lodge, I want to have it and my camera gear with me on a plane. In addendum, it has to be able to carry a honest amount of weight comfortably for a long calculate and be built to last. Overall, this bag meets all those criterea.
I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable this bag is when fully loaded. It does not have a hip belt, but the design of bag places most of the weight (the camera gear) at the bottom and virtually your back (the mainframe). The straps are honestly wide and brilliantly padded and the back pads allow a reasonable amount of airflow and support (thanks to a generously cushioned and contoured lumbar pad).
It’s sturdy enough for regular aid while roving, but you still want to excercise care handling the bag as all the camera gear sits at the bottom. I wouldn’t entrust it with the qualified gorillas I’ve watched unload baggage and you don’t want to drop it, but otherwise I don’t worry about my gear inside it.
If possible, I would give the bag 4 1/2 stars; overall, it’s a fantastic solution to my needs, but it has a couple of minor small-comings. While it sounds minor, the one that bothers me the most is the single zipper on the main compartment. I really be fond of the double zips on the camera case and mainframe parts as they can be left closed in the focal top for rapid access, but that’s not an option for the main compartment. I frequently find myself opening the mainframe vicinity when intending to get in the main compartment. And with a double zip, it would be possible to allow a tall narrow object (be fond of a tripod) to protrude out the top. In addendum, I’d be fond of a small extra space in the main compartment – it’s a tight fit for my 14″ tripod. Other items on my wish list would be a water-bottle holder, or, better yet, some loops on the outside that you may possibly attach other items to.
Despite my minor gripes, it’s obvious there was a ration of concentration to detail and the pack is well engineered. When opening the camera compartment with the bag on the impose a curfew, the top part tilts back as if hinged to allow simple access to your gear. There is room for even a large 17″ mainframe (Dell Latitude D810 – 14.25″ x 10.5″ x 1.75″). The front mp3 pocket is lined with soft cloth that won’t scratch you ipod (or sunglasses) and there are excellent organizational features in the main compartment: couple zippered pockets, pen pockets, a key clip, etc. And all this is in an understated wrap that doesn’t broadcast it may contain several thousand dollars value of equipment inside – it just looks be fond of a daypack. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this bag.

|Fantastic lightweight backpack,
Sought after a daily aid backpack that may possibly carry my camera and a hardly any lenses and my mainframe without looking be fond of I was tiresome to find a hostel. It is a excellent size for tooling around town doing my daily activities. I be fond of this pack and very it over the larger packs.
It provides decent padding to protect my electronic and optical gear. I’m not a professional photographer as a result I don’t really need to carry gobs of optical equipment. I just be fond of having my List 5D attached to my EF 24-105mm f/4 L with me and my EF 16-35mm f/2.8L on deck. My 11″ sony VAIO (with verizon card for internet access) fits of laughter nicely and is well protected and there is still room enough for paperwork and tiny misc items. My treo 650 on my hip and I’m perfectly geeked out. I really walk around all day be fond of this being very productive and able to sort out some enjoyable things during my limited down times. Sometimes I find it incredible how much technology I really be fond of having with me…SCARY. But, I delight in it and this set up lets me capture pics right through my day whenever I find a excellent opportunity. Sometimes I just shoot to help my increasing dementia for later reference

The pack looks nice and unadorned and doesn’t pull towards you excessively much concentration (which I be fond of). Some of the pakcs out there are pretty “flashy” and most sort out not sort out as excellent of a job with padding and protection. Of way you still shouldn’t throw the pack down or kick it around but you shouldn’t sort out that with ANY of the soft packs and I’d still wouldn’t sort out that with a pelican or any of the hard suitcases.
Brilliant “habitual” looking pack. Can carry a excellent amount of equipment comfortably. Not weather proof but that’s ok with me. Brilliant protection. Comfortable for a day pack. Can’t reckon of much incorrect with the pack except the weather proofing part and that didn’t really matter to me as a result I’m giving the thing five stars.

|Fantastic all-in-one bag – won’t fit full-size DSLR with lens attached,
Tenderness the all-in-one, lightweight bag. I found I can NOT aid it with my D200 with 18-200VR lens attached – it just plain ancient will not fit into the bag in any of the information tried. It facility find with just a small walk-around lens attached…but that being understood, my 18-200 has become MY walk-around lens, and this bag won’t fit it safely, as a result back it went. Fantastic fantastic quality of bag. Not apt for larger dSLR’s.
One thing to keep in mind: Sort out not hold notice unseen — bring your camera and largest lens with you and see if it will fit before hold –
